Acne, pimples and blemishes are commonly associated with teenagers going through puberty but grownup acne is more widespread than you might think. The majority of  adults, who survived their adolescent years with no obvious acne and the lack of ‘bad breakouts that their peers struggled with are often embarrassed to discover that just when they assumed they were emancipated from acne for all times, they have been afflicted by grownup acne.   A large amount of them are embarrassed.  It can be annoying and a little bit bewildering. Isn’t acne just for young people, they suppose? But the reality is that adult acne is more prevalent than you had first dreamed of.  In truth, it is estimated that approximately 40% of all acne cure products in The U.S. alone are sold to folks with adult acne.  So where do you get the best acne products for adults? Is it controllable in adults, or will it cause scarring?

What brings about adult acne? There are many factors involved,  but one reason, that of poor personal cleanliness, just isn’t predicated in fact. Practically every instance of acne, even adult acne, is a straight correlation of hormonal imbalances or blocked pores on the surface of the dermis. Some adult acne is also the result of infection of the sebaceous glands. However, on the positive side, acne is curable to one degree or another, yes, even adult acne, or acne during pregnancy.

The majority of people are so upset by the situation of grownup acne as they run out to the drug store and get the 1st product they can find to erradicate their skin problems. But as luck would have it, this can bring about more damage than good. A good number of store bought acne products are made exclusively to fight acne in youth. These  over the counter medicines, pills, and lotions may not have the potency or the capability to effectively deal with grownup acne.

When one is confronted  with adult acne, it is always recommended to consult a dermatologist. The doctor will be able to diagnose what caused the adult acne in the first place. Once a diagnosis is made, there may be a simple prescription that may be able to eliminate the problem permanently.  You can also choose to look online and find dermatologically tested products that are effective in both adults and children.
